Melissa leads BRAVA, specialising in various VO fields like commercial, corporate, and animation. She's a full-time VO, lecturer, and coach on subjects like podcasting and live radio for institutions like Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Ravensbourne University.
Holding an MSc in Marketing Communications, Melissa was Head of Comms at e3 (now Great State) and consulted for startups like SecondSync, acquired by Twitter in 2014. She lived in California for two years as a VO before returning to Bristol, where she now operates from her garden studio and frequently speaks at industry events.
This 1hr free session with BRAVA founder, Melissa Thom, will talk you through the main things to consider when starting out in VO, including trends, the industry, demos, key challenges, our training programme here at BRAVA and much more.
Melissa will talk for around 45mins and there’ll be a 15 minute Q&A at the end, so please come armed with all your questions!
