BRAVA Talent and Award-winning broadcaster Marverine Cole has launched a new politics podcast, ‘The Trouble With Politics’ (TTWP), following public outcry over alleged comments made about Britain’s first Black female MP, Diane Abbott.
The podcast aims to give a voice to Black Britons and underrepresented voices. Cole hosts the podcast and believes the comments allegedly made by Frank Hester – a significant donor to the Conservative Party – has raised profound questions about the direction of British politics, leaving people questioning their vote.
The limited series offers new perspectives, new voices and views exploring the current political landscape. It also provides a platform to those who feel unrepresented and overlooked by conversations happening elsewhere.
The first episode of TTWP features lawyer and activist, Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, and writer and broadcaster, Nels Abbey, sharing their views.
