Tamsin Greig joins cast of Shakespeare’s Women

Award-winning actor Tamsin Greig has joined the cast performing rehearsed readings of Shakespeare’s Women in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, London, on 7 January 2024.

This is the world premiere of a new play by Lorien Haynes, which is being supported by BRAVA.

Many of you will know Tamsin's brilliant work on stage and screen - including The Amazing Mr Blunden, Diary of Anne Frank, Inside No.9, Episodes (BAFTA Best Comedy Performance nomination) and Friday Night Dinner (BAFTA Best Comedy Performance nomination). More cast members will be announced soon.

Shakespeare’s Women transports ten of Shakespeare’s women from the 16th century to 2024; placing them in the same domestic abuse support group where centuries may have passed, but little has changed. As they eat biscuits and talk, the play explores each woman’s darkest secrets and asks what would happen if we met these protagonists today.

Tickets are on sale now and the proceeds will support Refuge, the largest specialist domestic abuse organisation in the UK.
