Krissie Kirby
“Training with BRAVA was beyond what I could have imagined.”
Krissie Kirby approached BRAVA with a background as a singer, eager to explore the potential of her voice beyond music. With minimal voiceover experience—limited to recording a training manual for a friend’s start-up years ago—Krissie sought to build a solid foundation in script work and discover how to develop a career in VO.
Krissie said:
"I’ve always thought my voice was my strength, and I wanted to explore how to use it creatively in new ways. I was drawn to BRAVA by the professionalism of their approach and their masterclasses. After speaking to Melissa, I knew I couldn’t go anywhere else."
Over the last 2 years, Krissie has taken all core modules with BRAVA: STAGE 1: NARRATION, STAGE 2: COMMERCIAL and STAGE 3: CHARACTERS, as well as a number of Masterclasses in characters and accents. Through this intensive training, Krissie discovered just how much there is to VO beyond reading lines. The tailored sessions pushed her out of her comfort zone, helping her strengthen less confident areas and providing valuable practical techniques.

Krissie has now booked work for clients including Imperial College London, St Giles Trust, Eyedeer and EraScapes Audio Dramas. Her next steps include recording her full Characters Demo, attending additional courses and auditioning for new projects.
